Cookie Policy

The short version. anee.io uses a few cookies to keep you signed in and safe, and to remember your choices. We do not use analytics or tracking cookies. On the ad-supported plans and our public website, some ads may come from Google, which uses its own cookies. Solo Farmer and Farm Owner are ad-free.

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies anee.io uses on our website and in the installed app, what each one is for, and how you can control them. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies and local storage are

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser and that your browser sends back each time you visit. Local storage, session storage, IndexedDB and the app's offline cache are other places in your browser where a web app can keep information on your own device. What anee.io keeps in them stays on your device and is not sent to us automatically.

2. Cookies that keep anee.io working

These cookies are strictly necessary for signing in and for security. anee.io cannot work without them, so they cannot be switched off.

• Session cookie (its name ends in -session): keeps you signed in as you move from page to page, and remembers short-term things such as a message shown after you save. It expires after one day without activity.
• XSRF-TOKEN: a security token that proves a request really came from your own screen. It protects you from "cross-site request forgery" attacks, and lasts as long as your session.
• "Keep me logged in" cookie (its name starts with remember_web_): set only if you tick "Keep me logged in" when you sign in. It keeps you signed in for up to ten days after you last used anee.io. Signing out removes it.

3. Cookies that remember your choices

• anisystem-theme: remembers whether you use light or dark mode, so the sign-in page matches the app you left. It lasts one year.
• anee_country: remembers whether you chose our Philippine or our international website with the flag in the header, so you see the right words, currency and prices. It lasts one year.

4. What we keep on your device

anee.io also uses your browser's local storage, session storage and offline cache for small conveniences. This information stays on your device.

• Display and accessibility settings: dark mode, text size, high contrast, reduced motion and underlined links, which you set on the Settings page.
• How you left each screen: which panels, cards and notes you folded or opened, your calendar view, where you last left a map, which warnings you marked as read, and similar small choices.
• Tutorial videos: when you choose "Don't show this again", we remember it on your device and in your account.
• Things we show only once in a while: for example when we last asked you for a review, or which community rank you have already seen.
• Offline Mode (only if you turn it on in Settings): copies of the pages you open are kept in the app's offline cache, and the changes you make without a signal wait in a small outbox on your device (IndexedDB) until you reconnect and they are sent. The installed app also keeps a small "you are offline" page and its icon.
• Short-lived notes in session storage: for example that a page is still loading, or your zoom level in a worker presentation. They disappear when you close the tab.

5. Cookies from other companies

• Google AdSense (ad-supported plans only). When ads are switched on, members on Libre and Libre + Anee, and visitors to our public website, may see ads served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure them and, depending on your Google settings, personalise them. You can manage this in Google's My Ad Center, and read how Google uses information from websites that show its ads at policies.google.com. On the Solo Farmer and Farm Owner plans the Google ad code is never loaded.
• Google Maps: the maps inside the app are provided by Google, which may set or read its own cookies when a map loads.
• Fonts and videos: our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and some tutorial videos play from YouTube. These services receive your IP address in order to deliver the file, and YouTube may set cookies when you play one of its videos.
• Sign in with Google: if you use it, Google's sign-in page uses Google's own cookies.
• Payments: GCash and PayPal pages are on their own websites and use their own cookies.

We do not use analytics cookies, social media tracking pixels, or cookies that follow you around the web.

6. How to control cookies

• In your browser: you can see, block and delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings, usually under Privacy or Site settings. If you block the necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
• Signing out ends your session and removes the "Keep me logged in" cookie.
• Local storage and the offline cache: clear the site data for anee.io in your browser, or uninstall the app. Turning Offline Mode off in Settings stops pages being saved for offline use.
• Ads: the Solo Farmer and Farm Owner plans have no ads. You can also turn off personalised ads in Google's My Ad Center, or use your browser's tracking protection.
